Headstuff announces comedy podcast with Deirdre O’Kane and Emma Doran

Series to launch this month after success of comedy series LOL

Headstuff is launching a new comedy podcast series this Valentine’s Day with stand-up comedians and actresses Deirdre O'Kane and Emma Doran, the Irish podcast network announced.

The podcast titled Keep It Tight builds on the success of O’Kane and Doran’s six-part comedy series LOL Ireland on Amazon Prime Video with television host Graham Norton. The series, which launched earlier this year, features 10 comedians based in Ireland in competition to make each other laugh in order to see who can raise the most money for their chosen charity.

Keep It Tight will release episodes every Wednesday with O’Kane and Doran discussing all sorts of topics including “what’s delighted them, bewildered them, enraged them, and everything in between”. The series is available to listen to across all major podcast platforms.

“Both Emma and I have such a great following of smart funny women who love a laugh - and this is for them really - everyone’s welcome, there’s no subject left off the table and we promise we’ll keep it tight,” said O’Kane.

'When Deirdre O'Kane asks you to do a podcast with her, how can you say no? She is the funniest woman in Ireland,” said Doran. “On and off stage.”

Headstuff has released podcasts with a number of other comedians based in Ireland including Young Hot Guys with comedians and social media personalities Shane Daniel Byrne, Tony Cantwell and Killian Sundermann, anti-diet comedy podcast Fad Camp with stand-up comedian Grace Mulvey and screenwriter and director Conor Dowling, and more.

The podcast network also won Gold last year at the Irish Podcast Awards, taking home the title for Best Podcast Network or Publisher. A number of other shows under Headstuff were also nominated for the event across several categories including Best Branded Podcast, Best Climate Podcast, Best Comedy Podcast and Best Factual Podcast.
