LGBTQ+ online dating app Grindr has launched a new branded podcast series on sex positivity, hosted by Drag Race former contestant and all-star Katya Zamolodchikova, according to a report by Variety.
The weekly podcast series titled Who’s The Asshole? will feature Zomolodchikova in candid conversation with a number of celebrity guests about their love and sex lives, and discussing dilemmas and stories submitted by Grindr users.
Guests that are set to make an appearance on the podcast include actress Trace Lycette (Transparent and Hustlers), writer, producer and comedian Jordan Firstman, country music artist Orville Peck and rapper Saucy Santana.
“I love diving deep into the dirty, juicy, filthy tea, so when Grindr said I could be paid to do it?! I jumped at the opportunity with all the enemas and poppers I could find,” said Zamolodchikova. “There are so many topics people are too embarrassed to discuss, but I have no shame in going there. No story is too wild, and in fact, we all have them… assholes, that is.”
Zamolodchikova, also known by their real name Brian Joseph McCook, is known for hosting a number of hit web series including World of Wonder’s UNHhhh with fellow Drag Race contestant Trixie Mattel. The pair also host their own hit comedy podcast series The Bald and The Beautiful, which is available in audio across all major podcast platforms, as well as video on their joint YouTube channel Trixie & Katya, which has over 460,000 subscribers.
Who’s The Asshole? isn’t the first branded podcast production for Grindr, as the company previously released The RearView podcast in 2020 with the ForeverDog Podcast Network. The podcast brings together a number of LGBTQ+ figures including former Drag Race contestant Monique Heart, pop star Chester Lockhart, comedian Jay Jurden and Grindr expert Patrick Rogers, in a roundtable to discuss the latest news in pop culture, sex, dating and more.
“When it came to choosing our host, Katya was an absolute no-brainer for us, bringing the perfect combination of honesty, humour and some incredible personal stories,” said Grindr brand marketing and communications VP Tristan Pineiro. “Be it in a hookup or a date, sometimes we can all be the asshole, and Grindr’s new podcast is the no-holds-barred destination where we dig into the good, the bad and the sometimes messy.”
