Tinpot Productions announced as a sponsor for this year’s Irish Podcast Awards

Company will record and produce a special episode from the event

Production company and recording studio Tinpot has been announced as the latest sponsor to partner with this year’s Irish Podcast Awards, taking place next week in Dublin.

In addition to sponsoring the event, Tinpot will also produce a special podcast episode for PodPod around the ceremony itself, featuring commentary from PodPod editor Adam Shepherd as well as other participants including judges, winners, and more. The recording will be made inside Tinpot Productions’ ‘TinPod’ mobile recording studio which will be present on-site.

“We're delighted to partner with the Irish Podcast Awards and PodPod for an event that showcases and rewards the depth and breadth of Irish podcast creativity and content,” said Tinpot Productions managing director Daryl Moorhouse. “We're excited about the event itself and the opportunity to produce the accompanying podcast.”

Other sponsors for the event include headline partner GoLoud and gold partners digital audio exchange AudioXI who’ll be sponsoring the Entertainment category, Global, who will be sponsoring the Podcast Champion category, and Acast who will be sponsoring both the Listener’s Choice and the Rising Star categories.

The second-annual Irish Podcast Awards ceremony is set to take place on 21 November at The Morrison Hotel in Dublin and will be presented by Virgin Media News correspondents and co-hosts of The Group Chat podcast, Zara King and Richard Chambers.

“We're delighted to be partnering with Tinpot Productions, alongside our other event partners, to bring you all the audio highlights from next week's awards,” said PodPod editor Adam Shepherd. “Look out for their mobile recording studio, where we'll be speaking to winners and attendees on the night!"

The complete shortlist for the awards, which includes genre-based, specialist, and individual categories, can be found on the Irish Podcast Awards website. Tickets are still available to purchase and range in price depending on the company or individual’s turnover, from €125 plus VAT for turnovers under €100,000, to €255 plus VAT for over €250,000.
