Audio Advertising Awards extends entry deadline to January

Event will now take place in early Summer 2024

The deadline for entries to the inaugural Audio Advertising Awards, created in partnership between PodPod and its sister title Campaign, has been extended from this autumn to January 2024.

While the audio advertising community has welcomed the launch of the awards, a significant number of entrants said they would appreciate more time to prepare submissions. As a result, PodPod and Campaign have moved the deadline back to January 2024, with the ceremony expected to take place in early Summer.

“We have received a lot of positive feedback since launching the Audio Advertising Awards, but as it is a new awards scheme, we feel it is important to give entrants plenty of time to prepare their submissions,” said Gideon Spanier, editorial director of PodPod and UK editor-in-chief of Campaign. “We are excited to see the range of work that advertisers and their creative and media partners will enter.”

The Audio Advertising Awards highlights and celebrates the work of advertisers, agencies, media owners, and creators within the audio space, including radio, streaming, and podcasting. The aim is to inspire the industry to continue pushing boundaries and setting new standards for excellence. 

There are more than 25 categories to apply for which recognise different types of audio advertising campaigns, as well as individuals and teams. This includes Best Host-Read Ad, Best Use of AI, Best Use of Programmatic, Commercial Rising Star, and more. 

Potential entrants can download the entry kit for the Audio Advertising Awards, or can submit their entries directly through the website. Entrants have until 18 January to meet the standard deadline and until 8 February to meet the late entry deadline. Entry costs start at £380 plus VAT for the standard deadline, with an additional £100 fee for late entry applicants. 

PodPod and Campaign are still accepting applications from experts in the industry to join the inaugural awards’ panel of judges. Experts from diverse backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply to ensure that there is a range of voices in the group.
