Global has launched a new investigative podcast hosted by The News Agents' analysis and investigations editor Lewis Goodall, the company has announced.
The News Agents Investigates will feature in-depth on-the-ground reporting of news and current affairs, as well as exclusive video episodes available to watch on Global Player and standalone social media content.

Goodall co-hosts The News Agents alongside fellow veteran journalists Emily Maitlis and Jon Sopel. The podcast, produced by Global and production company Persephonica, launched in 2022 and quickly became a hit for its news coverage during a time of political uncertainty in the country. Since launching, the podcast was named the 12th most popular podcast in the UK as of Q2 2023 based on total weekly audience by Edison Podcast Metrics UK, and last week won Best Daily Podcast at this year’s British Podcast Awards.
Goodall's podcast represents Global's latest extension of The News Agents brand, following The News Agents USA, launched in May on the world of politics in the US, hosted by Maitlis and Sopel. The podcast has so far failed to gain as much popularity as the original, currently ranking as the 24th most popular podcast in the UK, according to Chartable.
