Gemma Atkinson, Hits Radio Network presenter and former star of soap opera Hollyoaks, is launching a new podcast series where she shares her personal stories, with no topics off-limits.
The podcast is titled The Overshare, and is produced by Bauer Media. The show will feature stories from Atkinson’s audience as well as her own, covering topics like first dates, parenting, grief and more. The podcast is launching 21 September and will be available on all major podcast platforms.
“I’m so excited to finally launch The Overshare! I’ve been a guest on many podcasts, so to now host my own and have the opportunity to sit and chat with the listeners, it's been great,” said Atkinson. “Real people with real stories from the heartbreaking to the heartwarming.”
“I know people will relate to the topics we’ve covered and I can’t wait for you all to hear it."
Atkinson previously made guest appearances on a number of podcasts including parenting podcast Mum's The Word!, comedy podcast Vicky Pattison: The Secret To, The Hot Mess Mums Club, and many more.
The Overshare is the latest podcast to join Bauer’s podcast portfolio, which includes a number of talent-driven hit series including Rock 'N' Roll Football with Matt Forde and Matt Dyson, Staying Relevant with Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks, Frank Skinner's Poetry Podcast, and more.
The announcement comes amid news today that Bauer’s president of audio, Richard Dawkins, will be departing from the company, with his successor still yet to be confirmed.
