Evergreen Podcasts acquires music podcast network Sound Talent Media

Company to grow slate of original music podcasts as part of acquisition

Podcast production and distribution company Evergreen has acquired music podcast network Sound Talent Media to grow its slate of original programming, the company has announced.

The acquisition is an expansion of the companies’ existing relationship, bringing aboard shows from Sound Talent Media such as The Punk Rock MBA, Axe To Grind, Chris DeMakes A Podcast, and The Ex-Man with Doc Coyle to the Evergreen podcast network.

The collaboration, which was initially announced in Spring 2022, was made to increase the companies’ listenership and grow audiences as well as produce new programming.

“Evergreen’s partnership has been instrumental to our growth,” said Sound Talent co-founder Matt Andersen. “We’re eager to take our collaboration to new heights and explore the opportunities ahead.”

As part of its initiative to continue growing its music channel, Evergreen also recently announced a content partnership with media company Osiris Media, which specialises in music storytelling. Osiris Media has collaborated with a number of music companies and artists such as David Crosby to produce podcasts, and has covered a number of events like the Newport Folk Festival.

Through its partnerships with Osiris Media and Sound Talent Media, Evergreen has grown its music channel to nearly half a million monthly listeners across 55 music podcasts.

“The stage is set to grow our unparalleled music podcast portfolio to a new level,” said Evergreen chief executive officer Michael C. DeAloia. “We are beyond excited to be working with the brilliant minds at Sound Talent.”
