Stand-up comedians and actors Tig Notaro, Fortune Feimster, and Mae Martin are launching a new comedy podcast, the trio have announced, debuting 22 August.
The podcast, titled Handsome, features the three comedians answering a different question each week, posed by a celebrity guest. Each episode will cover a range of topics from childhood memories to creative inspiration.
“A little while back, the three of us decided to get together, have some laughs, drink some whiskey, tell some stories, and even divulge some never-before-told secrets,” said Notaro, Feimster, and Martin. “Luckily, and completely by chance, it was all being recorded on professional recording equipment.”
“We’re beyond excited to release our first episode and officially become the most Handsome trio of hosts in podcasting history.”
Guests that will be asking the questions and making an appearance on the show include fellow actors and comedians like Kenan Thompson, Atsuko Okatsuka, Neil Patrick Harris, Leisha Hailey, Lil Rel Howery, Jimmy Fallon, and more.
Advertising marketplace Gumball will be taking over all ad sales of the show, allowing brands to buy host-read ads on the show directly from the platform. Gumball is owned by comedy-centric podcast network Headgum, whose programming includes hit podcasts like Gilmore Guys, If I Were You, and A Funny Feeling.
The deal for Handsome was brokered by Gumball and the Creative Artists Agency (CAA), which represents Notaro, Feimster, and Martin.
