Podcast company Libsyn has signed an exclusive advertising deal between its marketplace AdvertiseCast and the newly launched Roseanne Barr Podcast, the company has announced.
The weekly podcast made its debut yesterday and features the actress and comedian in conversation with friends, comics, influencers, politicians, and journalists about real life issues that are affecting people today.
With this partnership, Barr will be able to monetise her podcast through Libsyn’s advertising marketplace with its Automatic Ads, host-read, and programmatic solutions. Libsyn’s AdvertiseCast reaches over 1,500 advertisers including top brands like BetterHelp, Skillshare, Nutrisystem, and more.
“With a devoted fanbase and tremendous anticipation, The Roseanne Barr Podcast promises to be a riveting podcast that offers new advertisers an incredible opportunity to reach a vast audience,” said Libsyn’s AdvertiseCast head of publisher relations Trevr Smithlin. “We look forward to building our partnership with The Roseanne Barr Podcast team, connecting them with relevant advertisers, and delivering data-driven insights and tools to maximise their growth and effectively monetise the show.”
“I am thrilled to join forces with Libsyn's AdvertiseCast for the much-awaited launch of The Roseanne Barr Podcast,” said producer and co-host Jake Pentland. “Leveraging AdvertiseCast's track record and expansive network, I have full confidence in their expertise and resources to drive and amplify our new show's growth, secure valuable advertisers, and grow our listenership.”
Barr, once a household name thanks to her eponymous sitcom, became known as a controversial figure in 2018 after she posted a racist tweet about President Barack Obama’s senior aide Valerie Jarrett, which led to her being fired from the revival of her TV show. Barr has been largely absent from the public eye until now.
