Digital creator Patricia Bright has announced that her successful business podcast Caught Off Guard will be making a return with a new name, The Break.
The new season will debut on 19 June and feature Bright in conversation with a number of people and brands that she’s inspired by, including podcast host and TikTok creator GK Barry, S’ABLE Labs founder Sabrina Elba, and husband Mike Bright.
The podcast will now be named after Bright’s online network The Break, which she launched in 2018 across YouTube and Instagram to connect women with financial, business, and entrepreneurial resources. Bright’s podcast will also be available to watch as a video as part of a new multichannel strategy created in collaboration with UK production company Listen - recently acquired by international podcast investment company PodX - which is also one of the launch partners of the new series of the podcast.
“Patricia guested on our podcast UNBOXED, and we immediately jumped at the chance to work together,” said Listen managing director Josh Adley. “The community that she has built with The Break is unique and powerful, and so we wanted to work with her to re-launch her podcast under that brand, providing its audience with even more premium content.”
“Everything about the new series has been approached with video and social front of mind so that her audience can engage with the show in the way they are used to enjoying Patricia’s content.”
Bright has built up a massive following online with 2.8 million subscribers on YouTube. Her podcast Caught Off Guard quickly became a hit, with over 1.2 million views across various social media and podcast platforms for the first two seasons, which ended their run in December 2020.
Previous guests that have featured on the podcast include digital creator and CEO of clothing brand TALA Grace Beverley, House of CB CEO Conna Walker, and Nail’d It salon founder Donna Mihaylova-Johnson.
