Podcast hosting and monetisation company Adelicious has signed hit comedy podcast Staying Relevant with former reality stars Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks on to its network, the company has announced.
Through this partnership, Adelicious will be able to monetise Staying Relevant through connecting the podcast with top brands for sponsorship and advertising opportunities. Brands that have worked with Adelicious in the past include Barclays, airbnb, American Express and Mercedez Benz.
“Very excited to announce that Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks have joined us here at Adelicious with their fantastic and hugely successful podcast, Staying Relevant,” Adelicious managing director Andrew Goldsmith said on LinkedIn.
While Adelicious is now the podcast’s main partner for monetisation, Staying Relevant is also presented in association with Bauer Media - for whom Thompson hosts a show on Hits Radio - which will retain the rights to include the podcast in multi-platform advertising briefs.
Staying Relevant launched towards the end of last year in October and quickly became a hit series having been labelled as the third most popular show on Apple Podcasts’ UK charts following the release of its first episode.
The series is produced by Insanity Studios, the production company behind Dane Batiste Questions Everything, Don’t Tell Your Mum, Drag Queen’s Den, and many more talent-driven series. The company has also represented a number of other productions in the podcasting space including the award-winning My Dad Wrote A Porno podcast.
Other new shows to recently join the Adelicious premium podcast network include Podmaster’s newly-launched Paper Cuts podcast on newspaper reviews, What The F*** Is Going On by Mark Steel, and Here For The Craic podcast by Emma Neill, as well as Elis James’ forthcoming history podcast with Chris Scull and Tom Craine, Oh What a Time.
