Former Netflix head of audio to lead co-productions for Wondery’s limited series

N’Jeri Eaton to over see podcast studio and collaborations with external companies

Amazon company and podcast network Wondery has appointed N’Jeri Eaton, former head of audio for Netflix, as the head of co-productions for limited series.

With this new role, Eaton’s responsibilities include overseeing the network’s podcast collaborations with external partners, including true crime podcast Gladiator with the Boston Globe Spotlight team, news podcast Do No Harm with NBC News, and The Shrink Next Door with Bloomberg. She will also be responsible for forming new content partnerships. 

“I have long been a fan of Wondery,” Eaton said in a statement to Variety. “From Dirty John to Harsh Reality, Wondery has a well-earned reputation for incredible storytelling. I am thrilled to join the team to continue collaborations with companies like Bloomberg as well as seeking out new partnerships.”

Eaton brings over 10 years of experience in the digital industry to the role, including her latest position as director of programming and head of audio at Netflix which she held for two years. Prior to that, Eaton worked across a number of senior roles including head of content at Apple Podcasts, where she launched the subscription program for creators, and senior manager for program acquisitions at NPR.

With this new role, Eaton will report to George Lavender, award-winning journalist and Wondery head of creative production for limited series. Lavender has executive produced a number of series for the network including Dr Death, The Shrink Next Door, WeCrashed and Harsh Reality.
