Katie Price is the latest reality star and media personality to join independent podcast company Crowd Network, according to a new announcement.
The podcast will be part of the network’s Crowd People division, which holds a number of lifestyle podcasts including The Sam & Billie Show and The Joe Marler Show. Although the full description, name and launch date of the podcast has not yet been announced, the press release stated that the show will “give Katie the chance to control her own narrative, spill some gossip and have a laugh along the way”.
Crowd Network senior podcast producer Kristina Hrywnak will also be acting as executive producer for Price’s new podcast after creating and producing The Sam & Billie Show for the past 18 months. Crowd also stated that a number of more talent partnerships will be announced later in the year.
“I’m very excited to be expanding the People Team at Crowd Network – and I couldn’t think of a more perfect person to do it with than Katie Price,” said Hrywnak. “Her energy and enthusiasm make her a dream to work with and I can’t wait to hear what she has to say on the podcast each week.
“She will be a great addition to Crowd’s expanding People division – which is the home to the chart-topping podcast The Sam & Billie Show, hosted by Sam and Billie Faiers. The sisters’ popularity continues to grow, with the podcast close to hitting five million downloads. With more titles due to launch later this year, it’s a very exciting time for Crowd Network.”
More details about the podcast will be revealed at The Podcast Show on Wednesday in a session with Crowd Network and Price. The Podcast Show is an annual podcast festival that brings together industry experts from across the world over a two-day period, running from 24 to 25 May.
Crowd Network also recently launched a new venture called Crowd Branded at the end of April, dedicated to helping organisations build a podcast through every step of the journey including content strategy, production, launch, hosting and promotion. The network recently announced its first partnership that’s part of the venture with the launch of a new branded podcast with Manchester Airport.
Other content divisions from Crowd Network include Crowd Sports, with podcasts hosted by world-class athletes, and Crowd Stories, which features documentary and investigative podcasts.
