Podcast and video production studio Producey and its slate of original shows have joined ARN’s iHeartPodcast network in Australia.
As part of the partnership, iHeartPodcast will represent the sales for Producey’s line of podcasts including hits such as sports podcasts Dyl & Friends, List Cloggers, 200 Plus and Tee It Up, and talk-show podcast Unewsual by Bromley-Lynch.
“We’re delighted to partner with the iHeartPodcast Network to grow the sales component of the Producey podcast network,” said Dylan Buckley, Producey director and host of many of the network’s shows. “We’re extremely proud of the content we create for sports-loving millennial males and with ARN [and] iHeart’s support we’re excited about the opportunities that will open up for us in the future."
“Producey’s sports content credentials are exceptional as proven by the scale of fan communities that surround Dyl and the broader slate,” said ARN head of digital audio Corey Layton. “The flagship show has captured sports fans for over 5 years and we’re thrilled to be working with the team to propel it further well into the future.”
According to Triton Digital, the iHeartPodcast Network - under ARN - is the number one podcast publisher in Australia and the second most popular sales representative, next to broadcast and podcast network LiSTNR.
The network also recently announced in April 2023 that it has renewed its multi-year commercial partnership with podcast company Audioboom to continue expanding its podcast offering and connecting brands and advertisers with Audioboom’s podcast audiences. The iHeartPodcast Network is also the sales representative for Australia’s second most popular podcast - according to the Triton Digital’s podcast ranker - Casefile True Crime.
According to iHeartMedia’s Q1 2023 report, the broadcast company experienced an overall increase in its podcast revenue year-on-year, up by 12%, due to a number of new podcast developments it made despite challenges from the macroeconomic environment.
