Nicole Logan

Head of development, Reduced Listening

Passionate about audio, Nicole Logan is the head of development and executive producer at Reduced Listening, as well as an audio-maker and cultural strategist. With a heart for finding new talent and making the audio industry more inclusive, Logan also sits on the board of the Multitrack Fellowship to help make the industry inclusive for all, especially people of colour.

In her development role, she has consistently shown patience, persistence and vision, with a specialism in Gen Z-focused content, entertainment formats, always-on formats and formats for women. Logan has pitched and developed ideas for the Audio Content Fund and Jazz FM, as well as BBC Sounds. She also devised the idea for Nailing It, a vodcast set in a nail salon which she pitched and sold to Spotify, and then went on to cast the on-air and off-air team. The resulting show launched to rave reviews.

Since 2020 she has produced 1Xtra Talks for BBC 1Xtra, Who We Be TALKS for Spotify and the Twice as Hard podcast. She is also the executive producer on several BBC Sounds Music mixes including Ambient Focus, Ultimate Calm and The Sleeping Forecast, the most listened-to BBC Sounds Music podcast/mix in 2022/23 (“One of the most British things ever. I love it,” according to Rachel Cunliffe of the New Statesman).
