Madame Joyce began her rise to success with the launch of her weekly show, Cocktails & Takeaways, in 2021. Cocktails & Takeaways allows for raw and emotive conversation, with Joyce's unique power to also create unmatched comedic moments throughout. Joyce discusses trending global events, music, dilemmas and even her most well-kept secrets, with a special guest joining each week.
Through the podcast, Joyce has become one of the leading young voices in the country and not only uses her show to grow her own audience, but also to support other creators in the space and ensure that other up and coming creators are heard. 2022 was a breakout year for Madame Joyce, with her podcast continuing to grow and reach a new audience. Cocktails & Takeaways has amounted to over 17 million combined views/listens and birthed a community of around 70,000 listeners per week.
The immediate success of the podcast, and Joyce's quick wit and likeable personality, have seen her host for global brands Sony Music and Cadburys, plus work with Spotify, Amazon and JD. Joyce is now working across a multitude of broadcast platforms, most recently working with Channel 4 on their new digital formats, both of which will air in 2023. The judges described Joyce’s work as “a very impressive start to a podcasting career, appealing to new audiences, and growing them at scale. The breadth of brand involvement (endorsed by Spotify) bodes well”.
