Critically-acclaimed investigative podcast Witnessed returns for fourth series

New series comes from team behind this year’s Ambies Podcast of The Year winner

Witnessed, the critically-acclaimed investigative podcast by Campside Media and Sony Music, has launched its fourth season.

The latest season, titled Devil in the Ditch, follows host and investigative reporter Larrison Campbell as she attempts to uncover the real story behind her grandmother’s unsolved murder which took place in Greenville, Mississippi.

“I was incredibly close with my grandmother, but her murder has always been something of a taboo topic in our family,” said Campbell. “But working on this podcast changed that. Over the last year, I’ve made it my mission to investigate not just this murder but how this tragedy has affected everyone in my family in the 20 years since then.”

The new eight-part series released its first episode on Monday and will continue to run weekly until 22 May 2023, but is available as a boxset to subscribers of Sony Music’s podcast channel The Binge, available on Apple Podcasts.

Working behind-the-scenes on the new season of the podcast is the same team behind Campside Media’s true-crime podcast Chameleon: Wild Boys, which won Podcast of The Year at this year’s third-annual Ambies ceremony by the Podcast Academy.

Campside Media is a story-telling podcast company which specialises in serialised narrative podcasts and has produced a number of award-winning podcasts, including documentary podcast The Bering with Audible, true-crime podcast Suspect with Wondery, and companion podcast The Wire at 20 with HBO Max.
