Munich announced as host city for Radiodays Europe 2024

European audio industry will descend on Germany for next year’s show

Munich will play host to hundreds of delegates from the European audio industry as the venue for next year’s annual Radiodays Europe conference, the organisation has announced.

The format of Radiodays Europe is based on a travelling model, with each year’s event taking place in a different city and country. While this year’s show was held in Prague in Czechia, Radiodays Europe will take place in Munich in Germany from 17-19 March 2024.

“We are very pleased with the decision of those responsible to hold Radiodays Europe in Munich next year,” said Stefan Sutor, a representative from Bavarian government initiative XPLR: MEDIA. “This is a strong signal for the media location Bavaria and its diverse audio landscape.

“This audio landscape characterises the federal state: in Bavaria there are over 90 private radio stations, which is unique in this form in Germany. Whether on air, via DAB+, or online, Bavaria is a special place for audio innovation. Together with local partners, we will make Munich the hotspot of the international audio industry in March 2024.”

While Radiodays Europe started as an event primarily for the radio industry, it has since grown to include a podcast track attracting a significant number of industry experts. This year’s conference saw a number of presentations on key topics, including how podcast advertising can enhance radio buys, how to devise better shows, and why content licensing deals have become so highly valued.
