Global advertising marketplace Audacia has announced a partnership with podcast hosting and advertising platform AdsWizz, a subsidiary of broadcasting company SiriusXM, to expand its audio network across Asia.
With this partnership, Audacia will use AdsWizz’s advertising technology and tools - including dynamic ad insertion, campaign management, programmatic and contextual advertising - to sell local inventory on AdsWizz’ podcasts across Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
CEO and founder of Audacia Kym Treasure said that the interest in the Japan-Asia Pacific (JAPAC) podcast market has been immediate from advertisers and publishers across the globe since the company's launch in 2022 and that this partnership with AdsWizz cements its place as Asia’s premium audio network, which is projected to surpass over $2 billion in ad spend this year.

It definitely feels that the region is having a moment,” said Treasure. “We are excited about the opportunities this collaboration will present to our clients. With 34% of the world’s population listening to at least one podcast in any given month, now is the time for advertisers and publishers alike to invest in their audio offering.”
AdsWizz’s supply-side platform will also allow Audacia to combine the platform’s podcast inventory with inventory from other publishers in the market, including English language-learning network All Ears English which gains an average of 8.2 million podcast downloads per month and global audio streaming service Tune In. The company launched in December 2022 under Treasure who is a former Spotify enterprise sales director.

A new advertising marketplace has also recently launched in Germany under a partnership between podcast hosting and analytics company Podigee and podcast marketing company Seven.One Audio. With this partnership, brands and advertisers have a chance to connect with over 20,000 premium podcast shows that collectively have over 150 million monthly episode downloads.
