Introducing PodPod’s first annual Faces To Watch list

New initiative celebrates the best emerging talent within the podcast industry

PodPod is launching its first ever annual Faces To Watch list, celebrating some of the most innovative and exciting professionals in the world of podcasting.

At PodPod, we want to celebrate the people who are driving podcasting forward - which is why we’re launching the first PodPod Faces To Watch awards. This initiative is designed to showcase the individuals who are blazing a trail within the podcast space, redefining the possibilities of the medium and elevating it to new heights.

This includes not only those sharing their stories in front of the mic, but also the editors and sound designers who pull podcasts together, the creative executives and commissioners generating fresh ideas for new shows, and the advertising professionals and sales and distribution experts who make it commercially viable. All of them have a crucial role to play within the industry’s ecosystem, and all deserve an opportunity for their outstanding work to be celebrated.

If you’ve got a colleague, partner, client or other industry connection that you think should be recognised for their contributions to the industry, please submit a nomination on their behalf. Entry is free, and we welcome nominees from organisations of all sizes (including freelancers and solo professionals), but do please bear in mind the following entry criteria:

  • Candidates must be nominated by a colleague or third party
  • Candidates must be primarily involved in podcasting
  • Candidates must have been active in the industry for less than five years
  • Candidates must be UK or Ireland-based

You’ll need to include a short bio and headshot for your candidate, as well as outlining their key achievements and career highlights. Submissions will close in the second week of March, and we’ll be publishing the full cohort of winners in May, ahead of The Podcast Show 2023.

The podcast industry is a uniquely rewarding one to work in, but it’s the people within it that make it so appealing. We’re looking forward to seeing all of your submissions, and championing the talented professionals that make the industry what it is.
