Podcast hosting platform Libsyn has announced a multi-year partnership deal between the award-winning horror podcast Lore and its self-service AdvertiseCast marketplace.
The podcast, which launched in 2015, focuses on chilling true stories from history, and has earned over 400 million listens, as well as multiple awards for best history podcast.
“Podcast audiences are growing rapidly worldwide and Lore’s new partnership with Libsyn creates a clear opportunity for brands to align with our unique production and reach our growing community of listeners,” said Aaron Mahnke, creator of Lore.
“In fact, Libsyn was the hosting platform I used to publish my very first episode of Lore back in the Spring of 2015. So, I’m delighted to bring that story full circle by partnering with their remarkable AdvertiseCast team. Lore has always been an ideal show for advertisers—it is evergreen and timeless, incredibly successful, and revered by millions of listeners globally.”
The AdvertiseCast platform allows brands to buy host-read ad inventory across a range of partnered podcasts, including Darknet Diaries, Inside Marvel and The Skeptic's Guide To The Universe. The company also offers programmatic campaigns through its Auto Ads service and as part of the partnership, Lore will be exclusively using these two platforms to deliver advertising on the show.
“AdvertiseCast is proud to be the exclusive partner for Lore, and we are excited to work with Aaron who is such a renowned podcast creator. We look forward to bringing valuable opportunities for advertisers in reaching highly engaged audiences on one of the world’s most downloaded history shows,” said Dave Hanley, AdvertiseCast's chief revenue officer.
“We’re already seeing positive feedback from the podcast’s existing roster of advertisers, and we look forward to introducing both Mahnke and Lore to the many brands and agencies we work closely with.”
