ARN to become the official podcast and radio partner of the Australian Open 2023

Tournament-related content will be available to stream for free on the iHeart app

Australian broadcasting company ARN has announced a new podcast and radio partnership with the annual Australian Open tennis tournament held in January 2023.

As part of the partnership, specially-curated content will be broadcast across ARN’s broadcasting brands iHeartPodcasts and iHeartRadio as well as radio stations KIIS Network and GOLD104.3.

“We are delighted to partner with ARN as the Australian Open’s first Official FM & Podcast Partner,” said Tennis Australia chief revenue officer Cedric Cornellis. “The ARN network has an exciting breadth of coverage across their flagship FM networks, the KIIS Network & Pure Gold Network, as well as being the leading podcast publisher in Australia through iHeart.

“We are thrilled to connect all the colour and fun of the AO and extend our story to the ARN listeners.”

The partnership will kick off on 2 January with on-air announcements for ticket giveaways and other promotional content continuing throughout the two-week tournament which starts 16 January.

In the days leading up to the tournament, Australian radio breakfast show presenters Jase & Lauren will be hosting listener-interactive competitions on KIIS101.1 while Melbourne radio station GOLD104.3 will be offering prizes to listeners. During the tournament, users of the iHeart application will be able to access live commentary from the matches and news updates directly from Melbourne Park through streaming the Australian Open radio station.

“The Australian Open is an event synonymous with Melbourne. It merges elements of sport, lifestyle, hospitality and fashion – all of the things that our audiences love and that truly make the city great,” said ARN’s chief strategy and connections officer Lauren Joyce. “We are thrilled to be the official FM & Podcast partner for the AO and bring all the excitement of the event to our listeners via the KIIS Network, championed by Melbourne’s own Jase & Lauren, as well as across GOLD104.3 and iHeart.”
