Acast has announced the launch of a new branded podcast series with fintech company Self Financial, focusing on financial well-being and development.
The six-part branded series titled Self will be hosted by “money mindset coach”, licensed therapist and content creator Jacent Wamala in conversation with a range of influencers on their financial backgrounds and well-being, as well as touching on the challenges that minorities and underrepresented communities face in this area.
“Everyone has unique experiences with money that will likely change through the course of their lives,” said director of Acast Creative US Shantae Howell. “The Self podcast captures that common thread we all share and connects with audiences on a truly personal level.”
Guests that are set to appear on the show include podcasters like the hosts of sex & relationships podcast Couples Therapy, with comedian Naomi Ekperigan and her partner Andy Beckerman appearing in the first episode which is available now.
Other guests include host of LGBTQ+ podcast Translash Imara Jones, Mack Wilds and Mouse Jones from culture podcast Guys Next Door, hosts of Se Reglan Dudas Ashley Frangie and Lety Sahágún, Self Financial customer Tara Jacobs, and vice president of global partnerships for Spur Sports & Entertainment Katrina Palanca.
“We’ve partnered with Acast to lean into both the individual and shared experiences we all have with our financial relationships,” said Brett Billick, chief marketing officer at Self. “Through these stories, we’ve found that while everyone’s journey is unique, so many of us share the desire for ourselves and our families to have it better than we did.”
Other branded podcasts that Acast has created in collaboration with other brands include multiple beauty podcast series for Ulta Beauty in August 2022 focused on the “five pillars” of the industry like Gloss Angeles on skin protection, Forever35 on regimen, Naked Beauty on nourishment, Natch Beauton conscious beauty, and Fat Mascara on skin services.
