Podcast Radio, a radio-formatted station that plays podcasts 24/7, has partnered with conservation charity National Trust to feature its existing content on its platform.
The content partnership will also feature an original collaborative show with Podcast Radio’s Gene Baxter, a US broadcast veteran who used to be part of the KROQ morning show in LA, interviewing the people who worked behind the scenes on the National Trust podcasts.
“We’re really excited to be featuring some of the National Trust’s rich podcast content,” said CEO of Podcast Radio Gerry Edwards. “The National Trust podcasts tell wonderful stories and are beautifully produced, and we’re proud to have them on Podcast Radio.”
Among those featured on Podcast Radio will be adventure podcast A Beginner’s Guide to Backpacking, Welsh language history podcast Not Lost in Translation, outdoor activity podcast Black Hiking, and along others they will run weekly on Podcast Radio starting 24 November on Thursday evenings.
Podcast Radio said the partnership came together after being introduced to the National Trust in May at the Podcast Show in London. Other content partnerships that the network has made include Wondery, Radio New Zealand and Evergreen Podcasts.
Senior podcast producer at the National Trust Michelle Douglass said: “We’re really pleased to be working with Podcast Radio to showcase some of our favourite episodes and point listeners to our huge back catalogue of arts, history, folklore, outdoor sport or nature stories, and to inspire them on their next adventure, be it in real life or from the comfort of their armchair.”
